Increased Risk of Disease During the Holidays

The holidays are the happiest AND unhealthiest time of the year for Americans everywhere! Family gatherings, holiday office parties, dinners, sweets, and shopping can take a dramatic toll on the body.

Studies suggest that all the weight we gain, the lazy chairs we nap in, the nieces and nephews we lift, the family flag football games we take part in, and the heavy shopping bags we carry around at the mall, all lead up to increased neck and back pain, discomfort, headaches, fatigue, and disease.

Most people don’t know this, but the root of most fatigue, disease, and organ dysfunction can be traced back to a misaligned spine. That’s because putting on even five pounds of weight, maintaining a poor posture laying in a lazy chair, or carrying shopping bags at the mall can put unnecessary and often dangerous amounts of pressure on the spine and the delicate nerves coming out of it.

Diminished nerve flow creates subtle changes in the way these organs function, eventually leading to organ dysfunction and disease.

Corrective chiropractic care through a technique called Chiropractic BioPhysics (CBP), can realign the spine back to its healthy, normal shape – enabling vital nerve flow to reach our limbs and organs. Within weeks of starting corrective care, most patients report a return to health, including an end to their headaches and migraines, acid reflux, high blood pressure, asthma, and even stress levels.

If you or a loved one is needlessly suffering from back or neck pain, or have gone through a stressful holiday season, please contact Holt Chiropractic and Massage in Port Orchard Washington, to see if you qualify for corrective chiropractic care.  Of course, consultation is always free.
